Finding a comfortable, clean, friendly, great value place to stay can be a minefield. Whether you are visiting the area and looking for somewhere for a night or two, or you have extra friends or family to stay and need somewhere for them to sleep, then look no further than our “Best 3 recommendations for places to stay in the Test Valley”:
Honeysuckle B&B, Houghton
This little gem is located within the picturesque and peaceful village of Houghton, only five minutes outside Stockbridge, in the heart of the Test Valley. The meticulously clean, self-contained annexe is cosy, comfortable and very private. Sarah Jenkins is an wonderfully welcoming hostess, who cooks an exceptionally delicious breakfast and has a refreshing “nothing is too much trouble” attitude.

The Hawk, Amport
The newly renovated Hawk Inn in Amport, just south of Andover, has been transformed since its recent takeover by Upham Pubs. It remains a lovely country inn with roaring fires in the winter and a team of young, friendly and attentive staff…a pub that welcomes muddy boots and dogs, in our books, is always a good sign! The Hawk has nine modern, comfortable bedrooms, each featuring a private bathroom, king size bed or two single beds. The breakfast is mouth-wateringly delicious and in keeping with its offering of modern British food.
The Greyhound, Stockbridge

Located on the High Street in Stockbridge and overlooking the River Test, The Greyhound exudes a sophisticated charm with friendly, vibrant staff, first-class service and absolutely delicious Gastro-pub food (breakfast, lunch & dinner) within gorgeous surroundings. The newly renovated rooms are classically chic whilst still maintaining character, comfort and charm. Any visit to the Test Valley is well worth a stay at this pub.
