A traditional British pub and bed and breakfast tucked away in the small village of St Mary Bourne in the Hampshire countryside. Our restaurant and bar serves modern British cuisine and our cosy rooms exude a contemporary cottage style.
Our team are devoted to creating delicious pub classics and true country fare that gives a respectful nod to the seasons and the local farms and estates that provide our produce.
In an area blessed with lakes and rivers rich in trout and other freshwater catches, fresh fish is a specialty here at the BVI and we have an array of creative fish dishes for you to choose from alongside classic British pub favourites. We smoke and cure our fish on our premises, so you can be sure to savour the freshest, seasonal dishes sourced straight from the English countryside.
We believe that food tastes even better when enjoyed together with the family. Make yourself at home in our vast barn and feast on a traditional Sunday Roast or sample something special from our a la carte menu.
Dogs are also welcome and we always have a biscuit or a beer behind the bar for your canine companions.
Sip a delicious real ale in our expansive beer garden or sample one of our fine wines at the bar – we have a wide range of drinks available to suit every mood or occasion. For something really special, we’re very proud to serve an array of exceptional whiskeys for you to savour: perfect when paired with one of our cigars to toast a special event or relax after a long day’s hunting or fishing.
