Caroline launched her Landscape & Garden Design studio in 2021. Galvanised by the pandemic, she decided to change career and follow her heart, retraining at The English Gardening School at Chelsea Physic Garden to obtain her Garden Design Diploma, graduating with Distinction.
Originally training as a chartered accountant, Caroline previously worked as a consultant and in house for large multinational companies designing organisations, leading teams and delivering transformation across large complex global projects. Designing and overseeing garden and landscape transformations from dream to reality require many similar skills.
Caroline’s gardening roots go back to childhood: she was raised in a family of garden lovers and studied historic English Gardens when she read History at Exeter University. She has subsequently gained significant experience developing and extending her own gardens, which continue to be work in progress and are occasionally open to the public. She can also be found planting at RHS Chelsea Flower Show.
A believer in the power of gardens to promote recovery and wellbeing, the studio supports Horatio’s Garden and the Hampshire Medical Fund.
