Longstock Park Nursery is situated within Hampshire’s iconic Test Valley. It was founded in 1958 and is home to two National Collections: Buddlejas, and Clematis viticella, and the Gilchrist Collection of Penstemons. Our aim is to introduce a wide range of unusual and robust plants, and we are particularly proud of our mature trees, climbing plant, herbaceous and aquatic ranges. We provide landscaping services and our visitors can also enjoy our new garden emporium offering interesting and unusual home and garden products.
We have a team of horticultural experts who love nothing more than to share and offer advice to to fellow gardeners. We have something for everyone from beginners right through to the specialists!
From the spring through to the autumn you can enjoy the stunning herbaceous flower beds in our walled gardens and maybe sample one of the kiwi fruits from our vines in the autumn…
Open 7 days a week we have a fantastic farm shop and cafe on the same site and we look forward to welcoming you to the Longstock Park Nursery soon.
NURSERY PLANTS
A lot of the plants and shrubs growing around the nursery are examples of what we sell in order to show their full potential. The 80 metre herbaceous border, covered with its climbing clematis and stunning fruit tree arch way has become an impressive attraction for people all over the world.
We sell a wide range of stock in the Nursery, specialising in shrubs, climbers, perennials and aquatics. This includes a variety of buddlejas, penstemons, clematis and traditional roses, as well as herbs, ferns and alpines.
In addition, we supply a wide range of trees, both decorative and fruiting. From November to March we offer a complete selection of bare- foot hedging plants and during the festive season we stock, cut and pot Christmas trees.
We can offer a delivery service within an approximate 30-mile radius of the nursery, please enquire for more information.
YOUR GARDEN
As well as plants, we also stock an assortment of beautifully handcrafted, fibre-clay terracotta and stone pots and we sell a variety of compost to settle your plants into their new homes.
In 1986, the mushroom farm established a more sustainable way to reuse straw for compost to grow their mushrooms in, extracting all of the nutrients. Straight from the mushroom growing rooms at Leckford Estate, sterilised and sustainable, it is ready for you to ‘bag-your-own’. Perfect for you to plant your new purchases from Longstock Park Nursery in as it’s packed full of nutrients!
Please note: we can offer a mail order service on most plants in pots up to five litres. For more information on this service or for specific plants or varieties please contact us as our stock changes daily.
