Messums Wiltshire opened in Autumn 2016 after a two year restoration project.
Messum’s Wiltshire is a pioneering multi-purpose gallery and arts centre. It offers artists and collectors a unique environment to experience and engage with creative endeavour. From the position that artistic expression started in our distant past, it provides the opportunity to reflect on the significance of the handmade form across multiple art forms.
The building is open to the public Wednesday – Sunday. A day a week is set aside as free to access for schools to have exclusive use as part of a broader educational remit that includes makers courses available to the public. Whether you are interested in acquiring, experiencing or learning about art we hope you will find time to visit us. There is a direct line from London Waterloo to Tisbury station which is 3 minutes from Messums Wiltshire. Driving we are 6 minutes off the A303.
Set inside the building is our free standing pod by Stiff and Trevillian. We work with our partners and friends Green & Stone and Hole & Corner to offer the very best in hand made art, craft and artist materials.
The landscape surrounding the Barn is an area of outstanding natural beauty and provides an inspirational backdrop for visitors to a year round programme of exhibitions, events, workshops and performances.
