Hosted by Hampshire Garden Trust, a performance of the popular Glory of the Garden will be performed by the PlayGC Theatre Company at Beauworth Manor, Beauworth with picnics and a welcome to families to attend.

Tickets: £30 – Adult, £5 – Child, £50 – Family (2 adults, 2 children)

This production is a glorious anthology of poetry, prose and songs, delivered by five versatile professional performers, on the theme of gardens and the gardeners who tend them.  From Gertrude Jekyll to Pam Ayres, from An English Country Garden to The Secret Garden, from the lyrical to limericks, this is a flowerbed full of delights. A joyful award-winning show themed on one of Britain’s most popular hobbies.

Beauworth Manor garden was recently redesigned by Pip Morrison, opening up the lawns to see the field beyond.  Although not yet mature, the gardens features an amphitheatre lawn area, white garden and a walled vegetable and cutting garden.  Members and visitors to the performance are welcome to browse around, there is also an orchard, paddocks and a wildflower meadow to enjoy.

The performance will appeal to all ages so extended family are welcome.  There will be a few tables and chairs for those who prefer not to sit on the floor and ice creams for sale.  Parking will be in the wildflower meadow to the back of the house, and please note that children are the responsibility of their parents (there is a pool and tree house to watch out for).  There is a bathroom.

The performance/seating area will not be covered. Whatever the weather (within reason) the show will go on!  Family tickets are for 2-4 people.  If you are bringing extended family, please buy one more ticket per extra guest.
