Balmain & Balmain was established in 1987 by Sarah and Andrew Balmain in the heart of the Dorset countryside. A family-owned company, they design and manufacture beautifully built and finished furniture which combines traditional methods and the latest manufacturing techniques to achieve the highest standards in modern upholstered furniture.

Their daughter Henrietta took over the running of the company at the beginning of 2014, moving Balmain & Balmain’s base to the Wiltshire countryside, between Marlborough and Hungerford.

Having worked for a number of years in design teams at Colefax & Fowler and other leading fabric houses — the photos on this site were taken at one of Henrietta’s recent design project’s, Hollywell House in Hampshire — Henrietta has been involved with Balmain & Balmain since 2004 and is now looking to bring the company’s bespoke furniture to a modern, style-conscious audience.

With over 15 yearsʼ experience in the interiors world, Henrietta’s aim is to make choosing your unique furniture a stress-free and enjoyable experience.

We invite customers to view our range in a typical domestic setting — our home in the picturesque village of Wilton on the Berkshire/Wiltshire borders. This makes for a relaxed location in which to see our bespoke sofas, chairs and footstools. Henrietta’s design expertise and knowledge are on hand to help you create the perfect pieces for your own home.
